BeatBall (2000)
Public is invited to participate ,through a sound-video installation , in a vocal ping-pong. The exhibition is divided into two distinct spaces.
Players are able to exchange balls only through their voices; and the power of their shouts determines the speed of the ball.
Participants cannot loose because here the game is not about beating the opponent. It’s more about trying to exchange vocal smashes.
Sounds are broadcasted and amplified in others spaces than on the spot, to create a sonorous performance of the wild game.
